It was a gorgeously sunny day in London when our team of stylists arrived at a very unique and beautiful venue. Tatershall Castle is a stunning boat that is permanently docked on the River Thames and is the perfect location for a city wedding. The view from Tatershall Castle is incredible – guests are treated to an amazing skyline of the city and of course the iconic London Eye. We were there to provide stunning decor and styling expertise for a photo shoot appearing in Bride magazine.

We started the day below the decks of Tatershall Castle, styling the reception room. We chose a delicate champagne and blush colour scheme with opulent table linen and lacy chair covers. Most weddings choose to keep all the tables’ decor uniform with perhaps alternating centrepieces but for our display we choose to style the tables in two different ways that beautiful complement each other. Brides, take note as this is a perfect way to make your wedding unique and is perfect if you’re stuck between charger plates! Using our classic classic candelabra, we created a striking yet elegant display. To add a little something extra to the dusky rose chair sashes, we decided to thread orchids into them – such a simple idea that makes a real impact!

Our sequin table cloths are one of our most popular items, so of course we had to include them in the photo shoot! Choosing gold to suit the theme, the linen was adorned with tealight holders, glassware and a colourful bouquet of fresh flowers. To add a little extra flair, we draped strings of pearls around the chair and over the charger plates. We think this really adds a touch of class to the table.

Whilst the brilliant photographer Amanda Forman was snapping shots below deck, we began setting up our giant 5ft Love Letters and an aisle of cherry blossom trees and candles. The sun stayed shining brightly and we think the decor (and of course, the lovely models) looked wonderful!
